We have been here a few time now. Service can be hit or miss, just depends on who you get. The food makes up for that one or two waiters that get lost. The pork carnitas is outstanding, and so are the fajitas. Went out on a limb and tried the grilled octopus. It was better than I thought it would be. They give you big portions. We’ve never had anything bad there ourselves. They have a great selection of margaritas and they don’t skip on the tequila. Definitely worth a try if you haven’t been.
We really enjoyed our recent visit at Anejo! On a Friday at lunch time we were able to get seated right away and got brought out very fresh chips and salsa. The waiters/waitresses were very much on top of making sure if we needed anything at all. Stopped by several times to ask if we needed a drink refill which I really appreciated!
When the food came out it was in very big portions, hot, and delicious! I also got a side of Pico de Gallo and it was very good.
The atmosphere was very nice as well. Felt very relaxed and I enjoyed the fact I could hear the music but didn’t have to talk over the music.
Overall, I would highly recommend and would come here again.
My friends & I go for happy hour on Tuesday's & we try something new each time we go. We have been pleasantly satisfied with our choices each time. We usually sit at the bar where Sébastien takes care of us making the best Margaritas 🍹 & other drinks! The atmosphere is laid back & classy all in one. You can dine indoors or out it's all very nice. Anejo has our Tuesday's!
Came here for lunch and sat outside because the weather was really nice. The outside seating was great with a nice view, although I wouldn’t recommend it in the summer because of the heat. I ordered the mole poblano chicken, which came with rice, beans, and plantains. The sides were great, but I wasn’t a fan of the mole and I didn’t even finish the chicken or take it home. The mole sauce is interesting, and is sweet with notes of pepper, cocoa, cinnamon, basil, and some other things I couldn’t figure out, but The combination wasn’t for me and I don’t really recommend this dish unless you definitely like mole. My boyfriend ordered the shrimp bowl with steak, which was really good! The steak was soft, the shrimp were huge, and everything came together well. We also got an order of queso dip and included some chorizo for $3 extra and it was delicious! And for the water snobs, the water here isn’t good. Overall it’s a cute place for a casual meal with a lot of options on the menu. Hopefully you will find something you like!
The food and drinks are good.
Outdoor seating feels like an afterthought, no fans whatsoever so it’s very hot but it’s your only choice if you come with a dog.
Parking can be a pain. There’s limited street parking or a parking garage. The restaurant claims to offer validation for the parking but the employees do not know how it works.
The food is more pretty than it is delicious. The carnitas meat was good but tacos overall was super dry. The rice was undercooked. The food here is a bit over priced and wasn’t worth the experience overall. …
Had a delicious lunch here after walking around Riverside Art market. This place is the real deal with authentic Mx cuisine full of flavor. I’m not a spice fan & they were very accommodating. My chicken enchiladas with a red sauce was delicious. Guacamole was some of the best I’ve had. We also got a shrimp & fish bowl which had large shrimp with lots of beans corn & rice and was outstanding. We will be back. At $48 with drinks and ice tea we felt we had a great meal in a beautiful restaurant for a very fair price!
Great place. I really love the atmosphere. Yummy food and lots of choices for drinks. Service was a little slow at first then got better may be due to less staffing. We didn't get one of our kids order. Had to ask for it again. Overall we would go back and recommend this place.
